Grenade found; local denounce, stage protest

A Hand Grenade addressed with neighbour’s name by KPC Poirei Meitei was found today morning from the court yard of one Naorem Pakison (40) of Thongju Part-2. Large women folks including Kyamgei Meira Paibi, Vegetable Vendors and shop keepers of Thampha Bazar, Kyamgei and localities staged sit-in protest denouncing bomb threats in residential areas at the Bazar, Opposite to Manipur University gate.
Naorem (o) Thaja, wife of Pakison told reporters that the bomb was found by their eldest son (11) in the morning around 6.30 am when he went out for brushing their house courtyard nearby garage.
“ I am very afraid of what if something had happened to my boy. We live a very simple life with our small kids”, Thaja condemned the act.
A name written in a piece of paper of their neighbor Lourenbam Ramesor Meitei, owner of Lourenbam Enterprises was pasted on the hand grenade and was kept near the garage where Rameshor parked his vehicle (four wheeler) to their garage, said Thaja.
Whoever, did this or to whom the threat been addressed, Thaja appealed not to let happen such kind of things again.
