It is now confirmed that the Governor of Manipur VK Duggal has quit the top post. He is arriving in the state today to attend farewell party organised by the state government at around 4 pm at Rajbhavan Imphal today. VK Duggal is the ninth governor who had resigned from the post after the BJP led NDA government came to power.It is likely that the Governor of Nagaland PV Acharaya will take charge as the Governor of Manipur. Mentioned may be made that various governor appointed during the UPA government has been resigned following pressure from the present government. Earlier former Chief Minister of Delhi and Governor of Kerala tender her resignation following pressure from the Home Ministry.
