The United People’s Front (UPF), an umbrella organization of Kuki UG groups extended Suspension of Operation (SoO) with Government for another one year today.
According to information received from a reliable source, the Suspension of Operation (SoO) was extended for another one year on mutual understanding of all parties in a meeting held today at New Delhi.
In the meeting, the representatives of United People’s Front and Government signed the Suspension of Operation (SoO) Agreement for the period from June 9, 2015 till June 8, 2016.
And all parties also agreed that the Ground Rule shall continue to remain the same.
The United People’s Front (UPF) was represented by Aaron Kipgen of Kuki National Front (KNF), Calvin of ZRO, P. Chongloi of KRA (U), Kamkhanpao of ZDV, L. Sanga Hmar of HPC (D), David Haokip of UKLF,
Hemkholal Doungel of KRF and PS Hangshing of ZRF.
While Joint Secretary (NE) Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Inspector General (INT), Government of Manipur represented the Central and State Government respectively.
