Free ultrasound screening camp held

A team led by Dr. Jugindra Sorokhaibam, Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon, Shija Hospitals conducted a free ultrasound screening cum stone detection camp at CHSRC, Ukhrul.
More than 180 patients were registered for the camp and detailed examinations were conducted for 97 patients with ultrasound screening that started from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm.
The camp was supported by Dr. Nelson Vashum, Chairman, CHSRC, Ukhrul; District Administration, Ukhrul; Dr. Rocky Laishram, Sonologist, Shija Hospitals; Dr. Rezatmi Kasar, Resident Medical Officer, Shija Hospitals and staffs of Shija Information Centre Ukhrul & CHSRC, Ukhrul.
Risk-scoring for stone related disorders, counseling and distribution of awareness leaflets at the end of examination were the major highlights of the camp. The camp was held as a part of Shija Outreach Camp. Another free ultrasound screening cum stone detection camp will be conducted on 26th February 2016 from 10:00 am at CHSRC, Ukhrul, informed a release from the hospital.
