District Programme Officer, Integrated Education for Disable (IED), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, (SSA) Chandel, organised a Free Medical Assessment Camp for Children with Special Need (CWSN) at Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School, Japhou in Chandel District Headquarters on yesterday.The assessment camp was conducted in collaboration with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Chandel and State Mission Authority (SMA), Manipur for indentifying the differently abled children of the District in the age group of 6-18 years to provide free education by providing them necessary aid and appliances. During the camp, four specialist doctors diagnosed and identified the children with Hearing Impaired, Visually impaired, Mentally retardation and orthopedically impaired.
