Free eye camp held

Imphal, Jan 16: As a part of the Lion’s worldwide work of service in relation to the 136th birthday celebration of the former International founder of Lion’s club, Melvin Jones, an eye camp and free detection of cataract disease were organised today by Lion’s club and Lioness club of Imphal at the Old Aged Home, Mongshangei. President of the Lioness Club, Manipur, W. Sumitra said that people with cataract disease will get operated at free of cost. As a part of the Lion’s work of service, the organisers also distributed groceries and other foodstuffs to the All Manipur Mentally Handicapped Person’s Welfare Organisation.
