Thoubal,Nov.23: The foundation stone for construction of Sai Sushanti Ching-Tam Heritage Park was laid today at Kakching Khunuta Ching in Kakching District.
A function organized on the occasion was attended by Prof.N. Khagendra Singh, VC Manipur University of Culture, Brig.N.Bhanot,SM Assam Rifles Garrison, Prof.Dinabandhu Sahoo, Dir.Institute of Bio resource and sustainable development, N.Kalimohon, Social Worker Kakching, Ksh.Mangol Singh, Retd.Principal, Prof.N.Gandhar,Retd.Principal, Khaling Mikawlrawng, Chairman Khangshim Village and Markham Leiching, Chairman Leiching Village as the Presidium members.
In his speech, M. Sushikumar, Retd. IPS said that the basic objective of establishing the Heritage Park is to promotion of echo tourism and help resist global climate change.
The various ethnic groups of people living in Manipur and to ensure sense of consciousness among the people on the rich cultural heritage of the state, he said.
