Foundation stone for National Sports University to be laid soon – MLA,P.Brojen

Foundation stone for construction of National Sports University at Yaithibi Loukon in Thoubal district will be laid soon.
State government has submitted necessary documents to the centre, said Wangjing MLA Paonam Brojen.
Speaking as chief guest during the inaugural function of Khongjom Block Congress Committee on Thursday at Khongjom Bazar Community hall, MLA Paonam Brojen said that Chief Minister O Ibobi led congress government is fully committed to constructing a National Sports University in the state.
Providing necessary lands by the land owners of Yaithibi Loukol generously has paved way for constructing the National Sports  University, he said and lauded the land owners for their sacrifice.
He further said that Khongjom Mega tourist centre, after its completion, would be the biggest tourist destination of the state. Four restaurants and a film institute will also be constructed there as another component, he said.
Stating that many development works have been taken in the Assembly constituency after he approached the Manipur chief minister, he said that Tentha High School has been converted to a full fledged government school while Langathel high school waiting for government approval.
Development works taken up during his tenure were not witnessed during the 30 years regime of two ministers who represented the Wangjing Tentha AC, he added.
On NFSA, the MLA said that government is providing necessary rice quotas for the people of Wangjing AC without a break. He assured rice quotas of the people would never be diverted to any organization.
The Wangjing Tentha Development Committee handed over a public pond to the people of Khongjom as part of the event, apart from handing over patta of the pond to the members of Fatherland Patriot Memorial Club, Khongjom.
