Alleging foul play in the notification of students’ body election of Naorem Birahari College Khundrakpam in Imphal East, representatives of the six student bodies – DESAM, KSA, MSF, AMSU, SUK and AIMS today protested to review the notification.Speaking to Imphal Times, a student representative said that the election committee of the Naorem Birahari College yesterday issued a notification stating that 2 pm of Oct. 20 is the last hour for filing of nomination for students’ body election. This happened when the representatives of the 6 students’ body were having a meeting to discuss about the student body’s election scheduled to be held on October 31, he added.When enquired to the authorities of the College election committee, the student were informed that the notice was in the college notice board since October 13 which was not true according to the students. No solution was brought between the college election committee and the student body at the time of filing this report.
