ATSUM blockade reach its peak at Imphal Moreh road

The indifinite blockade called by the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) has reached its peak in Imphal -Moreh road even though it failed to give any impact in Ukhrul, Senapati and tamenglong district. According to reports reaching here over 100 vehicles were stranded at Tengnoupal since early morning today. Personnel of the 24 Ar are likely to escort the vehicles towards Imphal. However, the vehicles remained stranded till late hours today.Blockade supporters reportedly came out Thamnapokpi area and Pallel area and stopped all sort vehicular movement along the route.In Senapati district market open as ussaul and there as no disturbances in the vehicular movement. Report however said that some strike supporters came out in the street in morning and tried to stop vehicular movement at Motbung and Kangkopi area. However, police team successfully drive them away.In Tamenglong district there was no impact of the general strike.In Churachandpur district blockade supporters came out at Tuibong area and prevented all sort of vehicular movement along the Tiddim road. All the vehicles coming from Imphal towards Churachandpur were not allowed from going further towards at Tuibong area by the bandh supporters. However the bandh supporters were not violent.
