Former rebel leader, RK Sanyaima also known as RK Meghen today broke down with tears as he paid tribute to his great grandfather Yubaraj Bir Tikendrajit and other war heroes of 1891 who had sacrificed for the cause of the freedom of the erstwhile nation.
The former rebel leader is seen in public domain for the second time after he was released on completion of jail term and reached Imphal in November last week of 2019. He was first seen in a public gathering during the death anniversary of Lamyanba NK Sanajaoba organized at Lamyanba Sanglen in 2020.
The soft-spoken former leader had remained silent and sidelined himself from any public function or gathering. Today he was seen paying tribute at the memorial of his great grandfather at Hicham Yaicham Pat and later at the BT Park where Bir Tikendrajit along with Thangal general was hanged by the Colonial British rulers.
