Former leader of rebel group UNLF pays tribute to Lamyanba NK Sanjaoba; Collective decision for a peaceful co-existent is the only way forward – RK. Meghen

Perhaps for the time after his release from the Guwahati Central Jail on completion of conviction, former leader of the UNLF, RK Meghen @ Sanayaima, appeared in public gathering to pay floral tributes to Lamyanba NK Sanajoaba, the pioneer of investigative journalist in Manipur, at Lamyangba Sanglen Palace Compound in Imphal East.

The former leader who reached Imphal on November 28, 2019 , after releasing from Guwahati Central jail on  November 9, 2019, also first speak to media at the sideline of the function.

“Every ethnic community has their own aspiration and we have to respect it. It is only after that all ethnic people collectively decide for a peaceful and prosperous nation that Manipur will be and move forward”, Meghen told an Imphal based cable news service at the sideline of the function.

“Without the sense of coexistence people will sink together”, the 70 years old former rebel leader said giving his opinion that only a collective decision to find the path of surviving together will make the future survive without any differences of opinion.

The 84th Birth Anniversary of Lamyanba NK Sanajaoba, who is also the pioneer of investigative journalist in Manipur was attended by only few people this year due to restriction by COVID-19 Pandemic.

AMWJU President Bijoy Kakchingtabam, UCM President Sunil Karam, Human Rights activist Babloo Loitongbam, Sh. Shamu, Vice President of the NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust, Advocate L Jadumani, Yumnam Jugeshwar among others attended birth anniversary observance of the pioneer investigative journalist.
