Fitting tribute was paid today to Haipou Zadonang on 83rd Death Anniversary of the great leader. State function was held at Haipou Jadonang park located at Keishampat with Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam as the Chief Guest.The death anniversary observance was also held at the Jadonang park in Tamenglong and other places in the state. Since early morning today many came to the Jadonang Park at Tamenglong and paid rich floral tribute to the departed leader.At Jadonang Park here in Imphal, Social Worker Th Iboyaima, Former MP Meijunglun Kamsong and other leaders of the Zeliangrong Community were present beside the Deputy Chief Minister. Speaking on the Occasion Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam recalled the courage and spirit of Haipou Jadonang who had fought against the British colonial power to restore the freedom of the nation.
