Imphal, July 30: Publisher, Editor & team of First Word magazine has clarified that the news story on Al Qaeda published in First Word magazine was based on reports present with the Central government. It said that there is a possibility of people with similar names, not connected with Al Qaeda, resides in Lilong area of Manipur.

The team apologies for the coincidence, and the resultant hurt caused by the report. It said there was no bad intention on the part of the writer or team of First Word magazine to hurt the sentiments of any particular community. It also said that the general people of Lilong are neither anti national, nor supporters of Al Qaeda.
