FEGOCTA warns of intense agitation if fails to approve 7TH UGC pay and regulation 2018

Federation of Government College Teachers’ Association (FEGOCTA), Manipur the apex body of Govt. College teachers in Manipur warned the state Govt. of intense agitation such as suspension of online classes, boycott of admission and other academic activities if the state govt. continues to evade the orders of a national policy on 7th UGC Pay and Regulations issued after approval by the Union cabinet. The teachers’ body had resolved to intensify agitations after it held two online meeting on 14 and 15th July, 2020.
The teachers’ body termed the state Govt. of being insincere and non-committed to the national policy as it has failed to issue any order even after lapse of 155 days of the Cabinet approval. It further warned that the state govt. should be held responsible for any case of disturbance in admission and academic activities in the colleges because of the agitation.
