The Federation of Haomee has extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasions of Imoinu Eratpa and Gaan Ngai, two significant festivals reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the state.
In a statement, Sapamcha Jadumani, President of the Federation of Haomee, highlighted the importance of these festivals in preserving cultural identity and fostering unity. Imoinu Eratpa, which falls on January 12, celebrates the goddess Imoinu, symbolizing prosperity and well-being. Meanwhile, Gaan Ngai, a key festival of the Kabui community, will be observed on January 13, showcasing the rich traditions of the indigenous community.
“These festivals serve as a beacon of cultural pride and communal harmony, inspiring hope and unity among the people of Manipur,” Jadumani stated.
The Federation emphasized the significance of these occasions in promoting togetherness, cultural preservation, and prayers for universal well-being. Addressing current challenges, including communal tensions and social discord, the Federation called on all communities to work collaboratively toward peace and progress.
