Farmers of Kangdabi Loukon object construction of road

Farmers of Kangdabi Loukon today condemned the government’s move to acquire land of Heirok Part 2 without giving prior information to the land owners.
Addressing a press conference today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal, Khundongbam Ibochouba, a farmer from Heirok Part 2, Mayai Leikai said that a survey has been conducted for constructing a 50 ft long road at Kangdabi Loukon which is also known as Narentatpi Loukon of Heirok Part 2 area without the fa’mers’ knowledge. He said that more than 100 farmer’s land is going to be destroyed if the said road is constructed. The farmers cannot accept the construction and will approach the concerned authority for the same matter, said Ibochouba.
