Imphal July 15: A farmer died after he was being bitten by a snake while working in his field. The deceased person had been identified as Takhellambam Hero (47), s/o (Late) Mekhu of Saikatkau area of Churachandpur District.Sources said that the incident took place yesterday afternoon at around 5.30 pm. He was working in his field when he was being bitten by the venomous snake. He was immediately evacuated to RIMS Hospitals. However, he succumbed to his injury at the hospital at around 6 am this morning.
