Family members of the URF Lalheiba cadre arrested by a team of Imphal West Poice Commando from Koutruk area yesterday today refuted police claimed saying that the person identified as Nunglekpam Joy was an innocent person and is working as an auto driver. Wife of Joy identified as Sophia while speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today said that her husband is not a member of the UG group. She said her husband was abducted by a group of persons along with his auto vehicles which use to ply passenger service between Kadangban to Uripok on Sunday evening. She said that her husband returned back at around 7/8 pm of the same evening. He was arrested by the police team on the following day. She appealed to released him unconditionally.
