A rifleman of 1st MR, who was assigned as house guard at the resident of former DGP Y. Joykumar killed himself by shooting self at his head with his service weapon allotted to him at around 10.30 pm yesterday evening. He was found lying in the pool of blood at the barrack of the DGP’s residence located at Naoremthong in Imphal West. The deceased rifleman has been identified as Laita Wanoireng Aimol (age 30) of Unapal village under Kakching Police Station.
