The International Tour of Editors for the year 2019 will made to Malaysia and Singapore.
The tour is being organised by the Editors Guild of Manipur with an aim to expose the editors of Manipur to the socio-political, geo-politics and trade and commerce of south asian countries which will be major participants in India’s Act East Policy in which Manipur, as the first port-of-call will be playing a major role.
So far the Editors have travelled to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam. The exposure has help many editors understand some perspectives of the nations with which we will be engaging in future.
For 2019 tour, EGM invites its members to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- as initial deposit towards the tour expenses by 25th October 2018. All intending members must have passports with at least three 6 months validity at the time of the travel. The tour is expected to last 7 days and will be sometime in 2nd half of March 2019.
