While cine goes are feeling the importance of Delhi Shorts International Film Festival, Manipur short film “EWAAI (The Ripple)” has officially been selected for the eleventh edition of this prestigious Festival. The overwhelming short fiction is directed by Bishwamittra, written by Rebika Okram and produced by Samir Thingbaijam for the banner Nongdol Mamikol with National Awardee Tonthoi in the lead-role.
Director Bishwamittra says, “It’s my great privilege that my shortie “The Ripple” gets a room in the precised arena of 11th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival, 2022. I do feel the sensitive transparency of Festival.”
The Ripple is about contemporary relevance of traditional norms and customary laws and its impact to mothers of Meitei community of Manipur.
The film has got entries in many other International Film Festival too.
