Edu. Min. Assures harsh action against malpractice during the evaluation of answer scripts of HSLC exam

Imphal, May 3: Thokchom Radheshyam, Education Minister of Manipur, today stated that any persons found involved in the malpractice during the evaluation of answer scripts of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) will not be spared.
Speaking to media persons, during a teachers training program held at SCERT, Lamphelpat, Imphal West, Education Minister said that an inquiry committee has been instituted headed by Principal Secretary of Education (S) to probe the allegation of malpractice in evaluation of answer scripts.
If officials are found involved in the malpractice, strict action will be taken against them and no one will be speared, he added.
Responding to the media query on the malpractices by the secretary of BOSEM, Education Minister also said that inquiry is under process and appropriate action will be taken against the secretary if found guilty.
It may be mentioned that Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) has alleged that there are malpractices in the evaluation of answer scripts of HSLC Examination conducted by BOSEM.
The student body accused T Amubi, a mathematics teacher of Peace and Freedom Academy, Thoubal for replacing all answer sheets by a new one at CC Higher Secondary School. The student body also accused the BOSEM Secretary for many wrong doing.
