Dr. K. Romeo Meetei, President of the Manipur Sport Climbing Association (MASCA), Faculty of the Department of Teacher Education at Manipur University, and Secretary of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) North East Zone, has been appointed as a judge for the prestigious Asian Youth Sport Climbing Championship 2024. The event will be held at Tata Nagar, Jamshedpur.
This esteemed selection highlights Dr. Romeo Meetei’s deep expertise and commitment to the sport of climbing, bringing him recognition on the international stage. The Asian Youth Sport Climbing Championship attracts top young athletes from across Asia, showcasing exceptional talent in an Olympic sport.
As a judge, Dr. Meetei will join an elite panel tasked with ensuring fair assessments and maintaining the high standards of the competition. Notably, he is the only qualified National Grade-1 Judge from Manipur and has successfully officiated in several international championships in the past.
Both MASCA and IMF NE Zone have expressed their pride in Dr. Romeo Meetei’s achievement and wish him great success in his role at the upcoming championship.
