Imphal, Sept 19:

The Teachers and Medical Officers Association, RIMS, Imphal strongly condemned the manner in which the healthcare providers of Casualty, RIMS Hospital were intimidated by a patient party using a small firearm on the evening of September 20, 2022.
While the medical community of the whole country has been appealing to all to make hospitals a violence-free zone, the occurrence of such violence in a tertiary care hospital in the state is very unfortunate. The association appeals to all to make RIMS Hospital a violence-free zone and book the culprit under the “The Manipur Medicare Service Personnel and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Act, 2015”.
