A meeting regarding the rollout of the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan on a pilot basis, along with preparatory exercises at the district level, was held today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Churachandpur.
Addressing the orientation programme, Additional Deputy Commissioner Thangboi Gangte emphasized that the session was intended to deepen departmental understanding of the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan. He encouraged the nominated District Master Trainers to take ownership of their roles, describing them as “the main keys to unlock many potentials” in ensuring the mission’s success. He also provided specific instructions to Block Development Officers on maintaining accurate and timely data entries in the Abhiyaan portal.
In Churachandpur, the programme will be piloted in one village each from Lamka South and Tuibong blocks, with targeted interventions and capacity-building measures.
District officers from key departments, including Panchayat and Rural Development, Public Health Engineering, Health, Forest, ADCC, and Social Welfare, have been designated as District Master Trainers. All Block Development Officers have also been enlisted for block-level training to ensure uniform implementation across administrative tiers. The district administration has partnered with local NGOs, fostering a collaborative framework for inclusive development to reinforce community engagement and field-level execution.
The Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyaan, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, seeks to empower tribal communities through improved governance and responsive administration.
