Imphal, July 12: Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts has initiated “Compilation of FORMS of government of Manipur” commonly used by various departments under the state government. The compilation will facilitate better financial understandings, checks and balances in all the departments under the state government including Pension, National Pension Scheme, Terminal Benefit Rules, Electronic payment, DDO Code, GIS, HRA, SCA, CPIS/MGEL, Encashment Permission, Manipur FRBM, Manipur Public Servant’s Persona Liability Act., GPF, Travelling Allowance, Medical reimbursement, Compassionate Appointment etc-stated the official of Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts while addressing media persons as part of the series of press conferences organised by DIPR today at its office complex.
The official further stated that delay in pension after the retirement of an employee is due to the inability of the official of the department to decide which form/s should be filled so such problem will be removed with the completion and implementation of the project which will allow pensioners to avail their pension.
The official further said that the Department of Treasuries has now been fully computerised since the year 2005-2006 with the funding of 11th Finance Commission. Manipur is the only state in the North East where pension preparation is done by the treasuries while in other states it has been handed over to the bank. At present around 48,000 pensioners/family pensioners exist in the state.
The official further said that all pension payment orders (PPOs) have been kept using locker system and also other records are kept using optimiser from January 2010 onward.
