Details of framework agreement are being negotiated – RN Ravi

Indian Interlocutor RN Ravi had stated that the ‘Framework Agreement’ signed on August 03, 2015 is a fundamental principles that constitute the bedrock of relationship between the Government of India and the NSCN-IM. Speaking to Nagaland Post, a newspaper based at Nagaland, Ravi further stated that the framework agreement is part of the comprehensive agreement details of which are being negotiated.
“The essence of the Framework Agreement is public. It will be made public along with the Comprehensive agreement”, Ravi said.
On being question about the sovereignty as demanded by the NSCN IM the Indian Interlocutor said that both sides have acknowledged the universal principle that in a democracy, sovereignty lies with the people.
“Government of India has acknowledged the uniqueness of Nagas. This uniqueness will be reflected in sharing of the power”.
He also assured that the solution that the government of India is working to sort out  is for all Nagas and not for a particular group. He said he has been discussing the issue with the Naga Civil societies.
