With the aim to strengthen the quality services and understanding the new legislation on ECCD, a “ One day State Level Consultation meet on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD)” was held today. The consultation meet was jointly organized by Mobile Creches, Delhi and New Life Foundation, Manipur
“The main objectives of the meet were to strengthen the quality services of ICDS & understanding the new legislation & ECCD policy of young child under 6 years of age as well as to understand the state context in term of services, policies and programs & gaps and challenges”, said L Pishak Singh Secretary, New Life Foundation.
Montu Ahanthem, Convenor, MACR, Sh. Saratkumar, Chairperson, MSCPCR, Prof S Jibankumar, HOD, Department of Anthropology, MU & Director, Nodal Org. Child line Imphal along with various other representatives of different organizations took part in the consultation.
Presentations from Mobile crèches, Delhi on Quality Services on the topic ECD/ICDS and New Legislation on ECD were dissected and discussed during the meet. While K Pradipkumar, CRY Fellow, Manipur spoke on the topic “The status of ICDS implementation & its gaps and challenges in the context of Manipur.
