A few minutes cyclonic storm occurred at around 2 pm today destroys various several houses, shops and trees at Pourabi site in Imphal East area. According to reports the storm uprooted a large tree at Pourabi Umang Lai area and as it falls HT electric wires which passed through the area were damaged. At Huidrom area which is some few Kilometers from Pourabi area many shops and hours were reportedly destroyed by the cyclonic storm. At Khurai Kongpal area in Imphal East too several trees were destroyed in today’s cyclonic storm.
Mentioned may be made that the temperature before the storm reached almost 40 degree Celsius in the state capital but gradually falls after the storm which haunt for only few minutes.
