At least 5 cadres of the NSCN-K were reported killed during a fierce encounter with the NSCN -IM at Lunsamai Village at Khoupum Valley in Nungba Assembly constituency at around 2 pm yesterday. Report reaching here said that the NSCN-K cadres were trying to cross a river at the area when the encounter took place. It said the NSCN-K cadre attacked the NSCN-IM cadre and the fierce encounter took place between the two rebel groups.
