In a unified stance against the recent arson attack on the United Committee Manipur (UCM) office, a joint meeting of 15 Civil Service Organisations (CSOs) was convened today at the IPSA office in Keishampat. The meeting Chaired by H Ibotombi Khuman, vehemently condemned the destruction of the UCM office premises, along with the COCOMI’s temporary office located within.
The incident, which occurred on February 23, resulted in the loss of crucial documents, laptops, desktop computers, television sets, and gas cylinder. Expressing deep concern over the attack, the CSOs highlighted the importance of preserving dialogue and mutual respect in addressing grievances.
Representatives from various CSOs, including UCM, IPSA, ACOAM Lup, PANDM, IPAK, SEACO, LOYALUP, KSA, Kangleipak Calendar Board, Kanglamei, KIL, CLK, AKSIL, Struggling Women’s Association, and Thongak Lairembi Masaikol Semgat Sagat Nupi Lup, attended the joint meeting. They collectively appealed for restraint and urged all parties involved to pursue peaceful avenues for resolving differences, emphasizing the need for dialogue.
