While appreciating the State Forest department in the recent closure of Timber Saw Mills which were illegally set up, Wildlife & Biodiversity Conservation Committee (WBCC) Manipur and Unique Wildlife Protection Committee (UWLPC) Manipur today said that partiality has been notice while rendering their duty.
Talking to media persons, spokesperson of the two organization Romes said that they will not remain as mute spectator if the partiality in closing the illegal Timber Saw Mills are not stop.
He said that people now knows how the illegally run saw mills has been destructing the forest area of the state.
Romes Ningthoujam, who is also the general secretary of WBCC, said that everytime when any department of the state tried to take up some welfare programme of the state, interference from some influential person derailed the work. Stating that the ongoing drive against illegal saw mills need to be support by all. The organizations also appealed the government not to interfere to the good work being taken up and also appealed the Forest department authority to deliver their service without disparities.
