CRPF handed lost wallet containing Rs. 33,000 to the owner

109 Bn CRPF personnel deployed at Rajbhavan Imphal  have restored a  wallet (money purse) containing Rs- 33000/-(Rupees Thirty three thousand ) to a man who missed it near Rajbhavan traffic junction . The incident happened at the wee hours on dtd 21 Nov 2018 when the Central  Reserve Police Force, 109 Bn personnel on duty at Main Gate , Rajbhavan noticed an unclaimed money purse lying on the road.
The security personnel under HC/GD Manoj Kumar Joshi,  BDD squad and Dog squad personnel of 109 Bn CRPF subsequently approached towards the main road and recovered it. After thorough and necessary security checks & scanning it was found that the wallet contains RS- 33000/- in cash and few documents viz  credit card, debit card, Adhar card, ID card , pan card, voter ID card, etc. Immediately the matter was informed to the superior officers of the Unit.
A Imphal West Sagolband LeimaKhujam Leikai resident  identified as Leima Khujam  Tony Singh 31 years old . He was contacted over his mobile phone after his mobile number traced by the security personnel from his RC book . He came to Rajbhavan , Imphal and after  due verification and submission of bonafide details about the contents in the wallet, it was returned  containing Rs-33000/-alongwith all the documents. Mr. L. Tony Singh told to the officers of 109 Bn , CRPF that  he missed  the wallet while riding his Bike in the morning . He works as a milk collector under Manipur milk producer’s Co-operative Union Ltd, Porompat.  He conveyed his sincere and thankful  gratitude to the personnel  and officers of 109 Bn CRPF. “ This act of CRPF personnel was  commendable and really appreciated- said the locals” This is not the first act which the CRPF personnel showed their honesty & integrity . It will be more prudent  to mention that 109 Bn CRPF  personnel deployed at Rajbhavan , Imphal also recovered the two baggages in last week and displayed their immense dedication and commitment towards the humanity and honesty. where by one money purse containing Rs-3000/- pertaining to a Manipur Police  Sub Inspector, 02 cheques of RS 8000/-pertaining to a civilian , 01 Bag containing RS-10,000/-, credit card, debit card, Bank Pass Book , cheque Books returned to a civilian named A. Bobby Sharma of  Universal Gas Safety device, Imphal. Apart from being  sentinels of people of  Manipur, 109 Bn CRPF has always extended a Great hand of Co- operation , brother-hood & to be a true friend for ever which is indeed praiseworthy.
