Congress MLA Khumukcham Joykishan today mocked NPP Minister L Jayantakumar over his statement while in Congress camp considering it as an acting which he learn from artist as he hold the portfolio of Arts and Culture department.
“He talk anything as he knows how to act being in charge of Arts and Culture Minister”, Joykishan told reporters recalling the statement given by Jayantakumar after tendering resignation from the Ministry and to shelter to the Congress camp.
Joykishan however, said that as the drama is over and as he had return back it is time that he discharge his duty to contain the COVID-19 pandemic as he is still in charge of the Health Department.
The MLA also questioned over his inaction as the Minister in Charge of Health even though he along with his party had accepted to return to their earlier party.
“It is the responsibility of the Health Minister to look into this COVID-19 pandemic”, Joykishan said and added that today one female Doctor of JNIMS tested positive and local transmission began at Jiribam District and recently at Thangmeiband one family and a minor child became positive .
In this condition being a Health Minister why he expressed no words in the connection, Joykishan said.
Joykisan also points finger to other NPP MLAs who are also not attending their respective office except the Deputy Chief Minister.
“If the war against the COVID-19 pandemic is success then he takes the credit if failed, is the Heath Minister going to blame the health worker and other frontline warriors”, Joykishan questioned. .
