Congress leaders discuss anti-racial law at New Delhi

A joint meeting of Congress leaders and delegates from Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim was held at Indira Bhawan, New Delhi, today to discuss issues concerning the Northeast region, including the need for an Anti-Racial Discrimination Act and youth empowerment.
According to a Facebook post by Manipur CLP leader K. Meghachandra Singh, the meeting was chaired by Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, AICC in-charge of the four states, in the presence of AICC Secretary Christopher Tilak.
The meeting was attended by MPCC president O. Ibobi Singh, Nagaland PCC president S. Jamir, Tripura CLP leader Birjit Sinha, Tripura PCC president Asish Kumar Saha, Sikkim PCC president Gopal Chettri and Indian Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib.
Youth leaders from Manipur, including W. Anand Singh, Avinas, Md. Tajuddin, Malem Laithangbam and Wajir Ahamad, also participated in the meeting.
The leaders reportedly discussed the urgent need for a Northeast India Anti-Racial Discrimination Act, strengthening leadership within the Indian Youth Congress, empowering youth, and promoting cultural and sports activities across the region.
