A team of Imphal West Police, led by Meghachandra, Addl. SP, Imphal West today conducted search operation at Nagamapal Kangjabi area at around 5.30 am today. Around 1300 persons including 118 Non Manipuris were picked up for verification. The combing operation is being conducted as a part of security measures to suppress any unwanted incident during Sangai Festival and also ahead of the Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi’s proposed visit in the state on November 30.
