Combined SF conducts search operations, many arrest, weapons recovered

Assam Rifles and Manipur Police conducted joint operations on February 17, 2025, in Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Bishnupur districts. These operations led to the arrest of five cadres and the recovery of nine weapons.
Security forces searched Tingkhai Khullen village, about 12 km south of Kotlen in Kangpokpi district, based on intelligence. They found one automatic rifle, one .32mm pistol, one .22mm pistol, four single-barrel rifles, one mortar, ammunition, and other war-like stores.
Four more operations were carried out. In Langol, Imphal West district, two Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) (KK Nganba) cadres were arrested, and extortion-related items were recovered.
In Leimaram, Bishnupur district, a suspect admitted allegiance to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Security forces recovered mobile phones and cash linked to extortion.
At Yurembam, Imphal West district, a KCP-PWG cadre was detained. A pistol, ammunition, and war-like stores were seized.
In Uripok, Imphal West district, security forces detained a suspect who admitted to being a member of the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive).
All arrested individuals and recovered items were handed over to Manipur Police.
