CM unhappy to the work progress of Tiddim road widening work

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today slams the work agencies and the contractors who are involve in the construction works for road widening of Tiddim road on seeing the slow progress.The Chief Minister along with works minister Kh Ratankumar, other Ministers and MLAs accompanied by the officials of the State Public Works Department today took stock of the ongoing construction works for the road widening works from Tulihal Airport to Keishampat. On seeing the slow progress of the construction works the Chief Minister enquired the reason for the slow progress to the PD officials. Not satisfied with the answered the Chief Minister slams the work agency and the contractor involved asking reason for not utilising proper technology as well as adequate number of labours.He said the government aims to complete the road stretch before the upcoming Sangai Festival however the works presently ongoing at the road stretch is going to shatter the governing plan. He directed the PWD authority to monitor the ongoing work so that it completes before the Sangai Festival.
