CM flags off Covid Vaccination Express of Imphal East

Imphal, Oct 21:

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today flagged off COVID Vaccination Express of Imphal East District from Chief Minister’s Secretariat. 15 vehicles equipped with necessary equipments, vaccines and medical personnel will travel to nook and corner of the district to vaccinate people at their doorsteps.
Speaking at occasion, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on achieving 100-crore dose vaccination against COVID-19. Stating that vaccination is the only means to tackle the pandemic, he urged the people to co-operate to government’s efforts towards reducing the number of positive cases to zero.
Informing  that COVID Vaccination Express for other remaining districts will also be flagged off soon, he stated that 90 more vehicles had been ordered for the said purpose. As the State Assembly election is also coming, the Chief Minister urged political parties and people of the State to maintain SoPs during electioneering as the pandemic is yet to overcome completely. He also requested the people to avoid attending public rallies and meetings if not vaccinated.
Regarding surge of positive cases among children in some pockets of Churachandpur, he stated an expert team has been sent to look into the matter. After coming of reports from them, the matter of opening of schools and colleges would be deliberated, he informed.
CAF and PD Minister Th. Satyabrata, MDPDCL Chairman, L. Sushindro, Manipur Labour and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board Chairman H. Dingo, Advisor to CM (Health) Dr. Sapam Ranjan, Kshetrigao AC MLA N. Indrajit, Wangkhei AC Y. Erabot, Additional Chief Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) V. Vumlunmang and Director (Health) Dr. K. Rajo also attended the function, among others.
