CM calls HoDs for inauguration of various projects before election code of conduct

Imphal, Oct 7: With election days just running round the corner, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh is all set to inaugurate some of the vital developmental project being undertaken by the government before the ensuing of the code of conduct.
A reliable source said that with the intervention from the PMO, the state government is somewhat disappointed as its plan to commission the Thoubal Multi-purpose Dam Project has to be delayed. However, the government is hastily planning to inaugurate the District Hospital being constructed at Ukhrul district and Jiribam, the 33 KV and 132 KV Power Sub Stations being constructed at Ukhrul district, the infrastructures being constructed under Tribal Inclusive Schemes at Chingai and LM block at Ukhrul district, the building of the Police Station being constructed at Borebekra in Jiribam sub-division and the residential School building at Jiribam being constructed under NLCPR.
At 11 am today morning the Chief Minister called all concerned head of department for the said constructions and review the work progress. Source said the Chief Minister had directed all the concern heads to schedule a date for inauguration of the said constructions.
