The National Fire Service Week 2025 concluded today with a solemn and meaningful closing ceremony held at the Fire Service Headquarters in Imphal. The week-long observance, conducted under the theme “Unite to Ignite – A Fire Safe India,” aimed to raise public awareness on fire safety and honour the unwavering commitment and courage of fire service personnel in Manipur.
Throughout the week, a series of activities and awareness programs were organized, including an essay competition for students to promote fire safety education and encourage public participation in fire prevention efforts.
The closing function was marked by a prize distribution ceremony for winners of the essay competition. The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Imphal West District, as well as the Director of Fire Service, Government of Manipur.
In their addresses, the officials acknowledged the contributions of students, volunteers, and fire service personnel in spreading awareness. They reiterated the importance of continued community involvement and inter-agency coordination to ensure a fire-safe society.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the Fire Service Department to strengthen safety measures and educate the public on fire prevention practices across the state.
