Imphal, August 11: One day discussion on Manipur Nationhood and Instrument of Accession, 1947 was held today at State Guest House, Sanjenthong, Imphal. The discussion was organised by Coalition For Indegenes’ Rights Campaign (CIRCA), Manipur. Representatives of various civil society organisations and students’ body took part in the discussion. The one day discussions were held on various historical events that occurred between the year 1947 to 1949 in Manipur. Mention may be that CIRCA has been campaigning since 2015 to regain the premerger status in the state. It may be recalled that various memorandum were signed after the British Colonisation of Independent Manipur till the time British left India and on Manipur’s merger with India.
