Mass gun salute paid to the 9 Martyrs amidst restriction

As announced earlier, there was a total shutdown in Churachandpur district as JAC observed 200 days of the 9th dead body which were killed in police action in the anti ILPS protest on August 31. The nine persons were reportedly killed in police action and some killed while burning the houses of the elected representatives of the state legislative assembly and some reportedly killed in police action while they were trying to storm the Churachandpur Police station.
During the total shut down almost all shops and business establishment including schools and colleges remained closed. No vehicles either private or government were allowed to move around the streets of Churachandpur town. Even military vehicles were not allowed as women protestors sit in the middle of the road preventing any movement.
The JAC has been demanding the withdrawal of the 3 ILPS related Bills passed by the state assembly for protection of the indigenous people from outsiders. Several campaigns had also been conducted at New Delhi to draw the attention of the central government authority.
The irony is that the leader of the JAC skipped to the equest of the state government to discuss the issue. The state government had even assured to amend the Bill if any contents in the Bills hurt the sentimrents of the tribal people.
Report reaching here said that since early morning today supporters of the JAC had prevented all sorts of vehicular movement in the district.
At 9.30 am , people in Churachandpur district who possess license gun paid gun salute from their respective home even though the District administration had threaten to cancel the gun license.
At around 4.30 pm today large number of people gathered at Lamka ground and holds a protest meeting condemning the state government.
