In an endeavor to address grievances and other administrative issues of Veterans and Ex-servicemen, 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised an Ex-Servicemen Rally at their Battalion Headquarters located at Thoubal (near Thoubal Police Station) in Manipur state on 19 March 2016 at 0930 AM. The Ex-servicemen Rally was chaired by Commandant 2 Assam Rifles. Four widows and 79 Army/Assam Rifles ESM attended the rally. During the rally, Commandant conveyed points related to the recent government applications such as one rank one pension, enhancement rate of medical allowances, suvigya facility.
