Children should be guided in the right track: Nemcha Kipgen

Imphal, Nov. 14: State joined the nation today in celebrating Children’s Day in commemoration to the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day is observed by Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur, at G.M Hall, Imphal.
Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen, Director, Social Welfare, Government of Manipur Jacintha Lazarus and Joint Director, Social Welfare Surrender A. Shishak graced this auspicious occasion as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
On this auspicious celebration, keeping the vision of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in mind, Minister Nemcha urged everyone to join hands from this moment to work for the well being of the children. The profound love and fervour of Nehru towards the children is the big reason for celebrating the Children’s Day.
Addressing the gatherings, Minister draws the attention of all to come forward for the children’s rights, care and education of children. “Children should be guided in a right track to become successful in the future as an asset of the country. This can be done by providing the right education, care in a peaceful environment so as to promote their growth and development,” she stated.
She continued – As children are the strong base for tomorrow’s successful society, right education should be imparted to them. Education will empower children to be innovators, scholars, researchers and torch bearers towards the roads to development.
Social Welfare Minister assured that all possible assistance for the welfare and development of our children’s community will be extended and said their rights will not be curtail in any way whatsoever.
