Taking serious exception to Common Entrance Test for enrollment to eight government’s higher secondary within Imphal city, banned Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has alleged that the government is trying to bifurcate students of Imphal and others though this test.
The state education department’s move to select a handful of students to enroll at class XI in eight government’s higher secondary schools through CET is a malicious scheme to divide Imphal from the rest of the areas of the state, Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda, Maoist Communist Party, Manipur said in a release.
He also asked that is there have no other place than Imphal in Manipur or Imphal is all about Manipur.
Conducting the CET only for enrollment eight schools – Ananda Singh Higher Sec School, CC Higher Sec School, Lamlong Hr Sec School, Ram Lal Paul Hr Sec School and TG Higher Sec School is unfair and against the popular will of the students community, the secretary added.
The government has systematically schemed to provide quality education at the eight schools for only 4670 students, the outfit alleged.
It is the discrimination of rural based student and institutions, Maoist said and requested all the section of the society to ponder over it.
