Central Silk Board to review progress of schemes in Manipur

Smt. Ishita Roy, IAS, Member Secretary, Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Bengaluru is arriving at Imphal on the 4th of February on a two-day visit to review the progress achieved by Manipur Sericulture Project under North Eastern Region Textiles Promotion Schemes / Catalytic Development Programme being implemented by the State. According to a source close to Imphal Times, a review meeting will be held to discuss and deliberate on the present state of the project. The visiting Member Secretary will also visit the Regional Tasar Research Station (RTRS), CSB, Imphal and the Mulberry Grainage, Reeling & Weaving Units after which a discussion with Senior State Officials and stakeholders will be held at Sangaipat, added the source.
