BSF Martyrs honoured

54 Bn BSF observed martyrs day today. The observance was marked with Suneel kumar singh Commandant of the battalion visiting the family members of martyred BJP by remembering their contribution in safeguarding the borders and integrity of the nation and to show solidarity to the family.

MKT Simte 2ic (adm) visited Saiton Govt High School  where   (L) Ct Lhunkhohao of 123 Bn BSF had  studied earlier. In 2016 a memorial stone was also erected at the school premises  in remembrance of the late Martyr.

123 Bn was earlier deployed in Kisthwar in J&K on internal security duty. On 28th Aug’1991 (L) Ct LhunkhoHao was abduted by the Kashmiri  militants and his dead  body was later  recovered in Anannag (J&K) near National Highway on 5th September 1991. His supreme sacrifice in the line of duty for the nation will always be remembered. 

 As a token of honour and remembrance  a shawl was given to the martyrs family.

The noble gesture of showing solidarity to the martyrs family by the organisation is highly appreciated by them.
