BJP spread false propaganda like Adolf Hitler - Kshetrimayum Santa

Reacting sharply to the recent statement by BJP Manipur chief Adhikarimayum Sarda about BJP MLAs’ involvement for a separate administration, which has sparked significant political uproar, Kshetrimayum Santa, the Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and convenor of ten opposition parties, has dubbed the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Manipur as a “Double Standard Government.” This is in stark contrast to the BJP’s assertion of having a “Double Engine Government in Manipur.” Additionally, he compared the BJP’s methods to Adolf Hitler’s false propaganda leading up to World War II during the Great Depression.
Santa accused BJP leader Sarda of spreading false propaganda to the media. Explaining his label of the BJP government as a “Double Standard Government,” he clarified that the BJP Government in Manipur appears to align with hill residents at times and with valley residents at others. “Their inconsistency is why I term them the Double Standard Government,” he remarked sarcastically.
As a representative of one of the seven political parties that met with Home Minister Amit Shah in Imphal on May 29, Santa shared insights from their discussion. He recalled, “I inquired if the Indian Government had a strategy to manage illegal immigrants after the junta regime seized power in Myanmar. Amit Shah responded that no such policy existed. When I further probed about India’s stance on holding bilateral discussions with Myanmar, Shah confirmed there wasn’t one.”
“They never initiate genuine dialogue but are quick to propagate misinformation. Their tactics mirror Adolf Hitler’s approach during the Great Depression era, preceding World War II, where he flooded the narrative with deceptive propaganda to make falsehoods seem authentic. They’ll attribute issues to narco-terrorism, point fingers at illegal immigrants, or discuss forest conservation, constantly shifting the narrative,” he remarked.
Amit Shah has previously attributed the conflict to the ST demand by the Meitei. “They’re inconsistent, altering their statements frequently. Such misinformation has muddled their perspective, leading to the BJP Manipur chief, Sarda Devi, confronting journalists,” he added.
Continuing his line of questioning, he queried, “When BJP MLAs voiced dissent within their party, did the BJP take any disciplinary measures? Are they merely trying to pacify the 10 dissenting MLAs and others with their appeasement tactics?”
Addressing the issue of the 10 Kuki legislators, CPI leader Laishram Sutinkumar asked, “Why hasn’t the government taken action against these 10 Kuki members who haven’t participated in cabinet meetings or the assembly?” He then pressed for decisive government action, stating, “Act now. Relieve them from their roles as members of the Legislative Assembly and state cabinet ministers. Their actions defy both the Indian constitution and our democratic values. These 10 MLAs ought to be suspended without delay.”
Former CPI secretary Laishram Sutinkumar was present alongside several other notable political figures. This included Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Manipur president Toijam Debananda, Shiv Sena leader Ranjit, and the Revolutionary Socialist Party state secretary Kangjam Manoranjan. Also in attendance was the activity coordinator of the Aam Aadmi Party in Manipur, Sorenshangbam Yaikhomba.
